Our Team
Describe your team here.
I am studying a Ph.D. program in mechanical engineering at Columbia University, also studied Robotics by selecting it as a concentration in master course. For more information, I have a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering as a double major and an interest in data science. My ultimate goal as a professional is to be a bio-nanorobotics researcher.
Professor Vukelic's research interests lie in Laser Induced Mechanical Deformation, Single Crystal and Bicrystal Micromechanics and Strain Gardient Plasticity, Structural Modification of Transparent Dielectrics and Laser Imaging and Diagnostics.
I am from San Luis Obispo, CA. I graduated from Columbia University in 2025 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. I have begun my master's degree and will pursue a Mechanical Engineering PhD.
Jason joined the group in 2017 fall as an undergrad majoring in Biology and Mechanical Engineering at Columbia University. He is working on non-invasive femtosecond laser treatment for corneal abnormalities and early stage osteoarthritis. Specifically, he applies femtosecond laser irradiation to create collagen cross linking in porcine/rabbit corneal stroma and the superficial zone of bovine cartilage. He is also interested in characterizing the CXL-related mechanical property changes of the above biological soft tissues.
